Walks and Hikes
Very near Agia Galini, visit the famous excavations of Festos, Komos, Agia Triada and Gortyn/Agia Deka. In the hills above Orne, a Mycene citadel is recently discoverd and will be open for visitors soon.
Archeological Sites and Excavations
The beach of Agia Galini is very nice, and tavernas, sunbeds and umbrellas are available - often for free for guests that have some drinks or a lunch. For folks that like a bit more rest or FKK nude sunbathing, the stretched beach of Komos is the place to be, or many small beaches along the shore to Ag Pavlos. Red Beach of Matala is another famous, sandy FKK beach (partly), however sometimes crowded in season.
Remote and FKK beaches
Agia Galini is among the sunniest spots in Europe; over 300 days a year you can anjoy the warmth. Season starts around Easter and lasts until mid November - and even in winter time a growing number of long-stay guests and digital nomades (remote workers) stay in town.
